I am so proud of myself! Actually eating enough is my problem on this diet. Today I woke up late and had to rush so I took my breakfast with me.
I had breakfast at 9am: Broiled asparagus and steamed spicy garlicky chicken.
Snack - 12am: Broiled asparagus and steamed spicy garlicky chicken.
This was the problem. I didn't pack my sweet potato. So I waited til I got home to eat lunch - at 4:30 Lunch: Green salad (lemon juice as dressing), steamed spicy garlicky chicken and 1/2 cup of baked yam.
I will be having a "snack"/ dinner at 6:30 - Broiled asparagus and steamed spicy garlicky chicken.
If I decide to go out tonight I'll have dinner at 8:30 otherwise I won't eat anymore today.
I am exhausted though so time for a nap! I am going to miss summer so much!!
Update: For dinner I had Broiled asparagus and steamed 1oz of spicy garlicky chicken so that i could have a tablespoon of fresh peanut butter!
Unfortunately, after eating it I feel horrible and my throat hurts! No more PB for me!

Week 1: Day 2
Today was a LONG day! I got up at 6:45 and started getting ready. Packing my meals, making breakfast, ironing my dress, showering and by the time I got to sit down to eat it was 7:30 am. I am good!
First meal was :
1 cup of steamed asparagus with my garlicky chicken! (7:45am)
1st Snack:
1 cup of steamed asparagus with my garlicky chicken! (10:30am)
Lunch (no photo):
1 cup of Mixed baby greens , 1/2 cup of baked yam, garlicky chicken! (12:55pm)
2nd Snack:
1 cup of Sorrento salad with garlicky chicken! (5:00pm)
** Between 2nd snack and dinner I seasoned up the chicken for tomorrow's meals! Fresh garlic, thyme, rosemary, lime juice, and extra spicy no salt seasoning rub all pulverized together in a mortal and pestle.
Dinner:
Last of the Tilapia and 1 cup of mixed Sorrento salad (7:30pm)
Headed out to Queens and had a lovely prayer time with 2 beautiful women of God!
Arrived home at midnight. Started cooking seasoned chicken breasts (I'm going to try backing the chicken today). It is now 1:20am! Sleepy!!!

Week 1: Day 1
Today's been very successful, even though I woke up very late! The first thing I did was measure myself. I am 190lbs! Yikes!! I am only 5' tall. So this change comes at the right time. On this diet, I have to eat every 2.5 - 3 hours. I also had an interview today for a part time job.
My first meal today was turkey breast deli slice (2 oz) and asparagus (1 cup). I was planning on eating all the deli slices for the rest of the day until I re-read the diet plan. No sodium! No deli slices allowed :( (11 am)
The next meal was not until 6:30 (too long between meals) because I went to pick up my new lease from the management company before heading down to my tutoring interview (which went very well). I was starving by the time I got home. I then also eat this same meal (with the addition of 1 scrambled egg white!)
I then spent time marinating some chicken breasts. I made a marinade by crushing fresh garlic with mustard seeds, thyme, rosemary, black pepper and adding lemon juice to help tenderize the meat. I am very excited to eat it tomorrow!
I am also doing a cleanse along with the diet. It taste kinda gross...
Week 1: Day 0
It is the day before I start Michael Thurmond's Six Week Body Makeover, technically the day of, but I have yet to go to sleep.
I am really excited because I think for the first time in my life I WANT to lose the weight. I am tired of using it as a shield between me and the world. I feel prepared to stick to this for the six weeks. It is a small commitment to make considering the lifetime of bad eating habits.
I feel I can succeed. I am not only doing this for myself but for my children. I want to be healthy when I finally am ready to have them. I want to model healthy habits for them. I want to be healthy for myself. I want to be able to run and jump and play. I want to finally get to be the kid I never got a chance to be growing up.
I am ready. Bring it on!
